About DNS

About DNS
It was proposed by Paul Mockapetris on June 23, 1983
Official year for which the DNS running on world wide web was from 1986.
Without DNS the internet would shut down very quickly
For example, the URL
“http://www.hotmail.com” contains the domain name
Domain name system is a database
What domain name system does is it replaces numerical Internet addresses with English-language.
From DNS, we do not have to memorize and type 12 digit numbers.
